Darryl and Debby Mosher (with help from their children and more recently, their grandchildren) have been farming in Rhinebeck, NY for 35 years. Son Brendan and daughter-in-law Kim grew flowers for their wedding during the summer of 2008. Ever since, we've been growing flowers.

    DIY Weddings and Parties

Each year, many bridal parties come and pick for showers, rehearsal dinners, and the main event! Here are some suggestions.

    1. If possible, please come by a week before your event and pick a test bucket. You can see what is available, which flowers holds up best, and what colors combinations you like.

    2. Plan to pick your flowers 1-3 days before the event. Flowers will be easier to work with if you let them rest overnight before arranging.

    3. Plan to pick in the morning or late afternoon for the best quality of flowers. Avoid the heat of the day.

    4. Plan to pick into our 1-gallon pails. If you buy 5 or more buckets, you can use your own containers to transport, and save money. People have used coolers, wash tubs, and larger buckets to transport.

    5. Let me know ahead of time when you plan to come, how many people plan to pick and how many buckets you need. That way, I can make sure you have plenty of water, buckets and scissors. I may also be able to offer some advice! (845) 417-7099

Sounds like fun, but you're not sure about arranging? Hire a floral designer to help!
